Music recorded in December, 2014, vocals recorded in April, 2015, at Meowinrovia in Phoenix, AZ.

This is the thesis statement for this musical project. It's my attempt to explain what the name Run-On Sunshine means...in case anyone ever wondered!

My friend said, “You’ve got to light up. These dark, chilled days are rare in these parts. Get good with contrasts in your skies. You’ll get your sun back now soon enough.” I told him two years of no flu, not once did miss aches and coughing. What’s bad can’t trick me to be fond, no matter how long it stays away. I’ve got my stockpile of rain clouds. They made me ghost for twenty years. Woke up and ran as soon as I could. Not reached equator, still work to do.

This sunlight that fuels me, like I can do anything! The sadness always lurking gets burnt back by sun’s rays. No curtain, doors open, it’s time to start walking. Stuck inside too many times. Must catch up with the sun…

Every day! All day!

My dad said, “You’ve got to watch out. The sun got to me, still eats my body. Worked nights then slept days on the beach. Fried skin: status symbol in the 50s.” Dear Dad, I promise my caution. Wear hat, shades, sunscreen, religiously. But can’t let fear keep me inside, hidden way from the love of my life. Our people have suffered long enough, toiling on green isle ‘neath gray sky. Generations I must pay tribute, by soaking sun that they scantly saw.

I’m not just done with clouds, I’d cancel nights if I could! Sun sets to sweet twilight, then swings back to sunrise. Like a run-on sentence, each day strung together. No periods of darkness, so I can see the sun…

Every day! All day!
